Gender Friends

“Gender Friends,” a new free program meeting at The Center, is an all inclusive social/support forum for all gender variant people and allies.

“Gender Friends” is designed to have a gender variant resource person available for resources, friendship, networking, and socialization. This program provides peer-based resources and support and does not provide counseling, therapy, or legal advice. Rather, it is a safe, confidential opportunity to dialogue one-to-one about gender, transitioning, the transgender community, and other related topics. If you are simply looking to connect with other gender variant people and their allies, we also welcome you to drop by.

Who is gender variant? A gender variant person does not subscribe to the social binary; this includes individuals that may be transgender MTF and FTM, cross dresser, intersex, gender queer, and those questioning gender identity. Our goal is to reach out to the gender variant community and let people know that they always have a "Friend" at The Center.

This resource person will be on site at The Center on the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th Thursdays from 4-7 pm. No need to RSVP – just drop by!

If you are interested in becoming a “Gender Friend” to offer peer support, please let us know - we want to build a diverse pool of Gender Friends. Contact Courtney Gray with any questions, Genderfriends@live.com. You can Also find us on Facebook; just search "Gender Friends".
